Requirements

• Operating system:
  • A linux distribution capable of installing docker and running docker containers, preferably Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
  • Root access to the machine is required.
• Hardware
  • Memory: 32 GB of RAM
  • CPU: At least 8 physical cores, capable of running 16 threads in parallel
  • Storage: Depends on what information you intend to store or log. 50-70 GB of persistent storage should generally suffice.
• Communications:
  • The server must support outgoing connections to the public internet (for collecting and updating linux/python packages, …)
• Access Rights:
  • VPN access to the local network.
  • Access should be strictly limited to the optimization servers with no permission to any other Pepsi or Hy-Tek infrastructure.
